Our process

From idea to execution.

Every project moves through the same four stages. Each one has a clear purpose and clear outputs, and each one feeds the next.

The process, stage by stage

01Stage 1 of 4

Discover

Understand the business and its goals.

We talk through the business, its customers and what the project needs to achieve. We look at what already exists, from the current site to the tools and content, so the work starts from facts rather than assumptions.

What we do

  • Conversations about goals and priorities
  • Review of the current site, software or workflow
  • A look at your audience and how they find you
  • Constraints, risks and open questions

You receive

  • Agreed project goals
  • A summary of what we learned
  • An initial direction for scope

We need from you

  • Time for an initial conversation
  • Access to existing sites, tools and content
  • Who makes decisions on your side

02Stage 2 of 4

Plan

Define requirements, structure, and strategy.

We decide what gets built, how it is structured and in what order. Scope, timeline and cost are agreed here, before any design or development begins.

What we do

  • Requirements and feature definition
  • Sitemap, user flows and content structure
  • Technical approach and platform choices
  • Milestones and review points

You receive

  • A written scope
  • The site or system structure
  • A proposal with timeline and cost

We need from you

  • Feedback on priorities
  • Content and brand assets you already have
  • Sign-off on the scope

03Stage 3 of 4

Design & Develop

Create the interface and build the technology.

We design the interface first and review it with you before development starts. Then we build, sharing working versions as features come together, so feedback arrives while it is still easy to act on.

What we do

  • Wireframes and interface design
  • Design reviews and revisions
  • Front-end and back-end development
  • Integrations, content and CMS set-up

You receive

  • Approved designs
  • A working staging build
  • Integrations and content in place

We need from you

  • Feedback at each review
  • Final content and copy
  • Access to the third-party services we connect

04Stage 4 of 4

Launch & Support

Test, deploy, refine, and support the final product.

We test across devices and browsers, deploy to production and check that everything works in the real world. After launch we refine based on real use and keep the product supported.

What we do

  • Testing across devices and browsers
  • Performance, accessibility and SEO checks
  • Deployment and launch
  • Refinements after launch

You receive

  • The live product
  • Handover and documentation
  • Ongoing support options

We need from you

  • Final approval to go live
  • Domain and hosting access
  • Feedback from real use

Start with Discover

Every project starts with a conversation.

Tell us about the business and what you want to build. That first conversation is where Discover begins.
